Privacy policy

Who we are

This website, theecomshow.com, is run by Golden Percentages LLP, the owner of The eCom Show. When this policy says “we” or “us”, it means Golden Percentages LLP. Our registered office is Golden Percentages LLP, Flat 1B, Nanma Raintree Heights, Mini Bypass Road, Eranhipalam, Kozhikode 673006, Kerala, India.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us, through two forms:

• The contact form (on the About page): your name, email address, what your message is about, and the message itself.
• The guest application (on the Become a guest page): your name, email address, phone number, a link to your LinkedIn, website or portfolio, the revenue range of your brand, and your answers about your background and what you would like to talk about.

Like every website, our hosting provider sees basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address and browser type. It uses this to deliver the site and to block spam and automated abuse, including the check that runs when you submit a form.

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site: which pages are read, how visitors arrive (for example from Google or YouTube), which links they follow, and their approximate location and type of device. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to tell visits apart. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not use it for advertising. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or your browser’s cookie settings; the site works the same without it.

We also use Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used, so we can improve them. It records how you move through a page, such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, and builds heatmaps from them. It sets cookies to tell visits apart and hides what you type into forms. Like Google Analytics, it does not tell us who you are, and you can block it with your browser’s cookie settings.

How we use it

• To read and reply to your message.
• To consider your guest application and contact you if your story fits an upcoming episode.

We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you used a form.

Who handles it for us

We use a small number of services to run the site and handle what you send us. Some of them store data outside India.

• Cloudflare hosts the site and protects the forms from spam.
• Google Analytics measures how the site is used, as described above.
• Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used and builds heatmaps, as described above.
• YouTube plays the videos on episode pages. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play, and the player uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. Once you play a video, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies to it.
• Resend delivers contact form messages to our inbox.
• Google Workspace runs our email, where contact messages are kept.
• Asana is where our team reviews guest applications.

How long we keep it

We keep messages and guest applications for as long as they are useful for replying to you or for considering you for a future episode. We don’t delete them on a fixed schedule. If you would like yours deleted, email us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can also withdraw your consent for us to keep using it. Email hi@theecomshow.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Other sites

This site links to our other products, such as The eCom Mafia, courses and mentors, and to other companies’ websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies. Links that leave this site carry a tag telling the other site that you came from us. The tag does not contain any information about you.

Children

This site is meant for adults running or starting businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
